Hi applicants! Just a few reminders and updates:

1. Deadline for the sig sheets is on July 31, Thursday. You may give it to any UPP member which you would probably find in the tambayan :)

2. The tambay hours has been reduced to six from ten. Just make sure to have a member sign your sig sheet to certify your tambay hours. (don't worry, we'll make it a point to have someone there each time)

3. To identify the UPP members from mere CAS students, here is the color coding scheme for each day: (in true UPP fashion, figure out what these colors are from the poetry excerpts)

Monday:
I gaze at him with unmoving eyes
The pain I feel is much too deep to verbalize
I know not where this would lead
For my rage is much too great to not heed.
Tuesday:
At last I've reached my final; my end
I step into the light and out
a long, lush field I see.
"It's fresh up here, just like I thought it would be."
Wednesday:
On the bank of Nile I sat

Thursday:
I stare into my cup

4. Please be reminded to submit the other requirements (1x1 pic and form5) to any UPP member (preferably Ninin). We would also like to request those who submitted their form 5s and 1x1 pictures online to give a hard copy to us for filing purposes.

After a year of closed membership, the UPP is now opening its doors for new members for the Academic Year 2008-2009.

We are inviting writers, artists, photographers, and those who have a passion for literature and the arts to apply. Application is easy, just get a copy of the *application form, attach a sample work, 1x1 picture, copy of form 5 and you're good to go!

You may submit the requirements to any UPP member or online by sending them to uppanitikan@yahoo.com

Deadline for submission is on July 21, 2008.

We will be posting the names of the applicants who have passed the initial screening on July 23.

We look forward to welcoming new members to our confederation of brilliant minds! (hehe) So, JOIN NOW!
